Adult Ballet/Open Division

Recreational ballet classes for teens and adults offered every Tuesday from 9:30 a.m.-11 a.m. and every Saturday from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. with Mr. Sultanov. These classes are open to all skill levels of experience. Whether you’re new to the art of dance or have had previous training, this class will be a great way to get reacquainted with ballet. A full barre and center work, including jumps and turns, will be covered in this Beginning-Intermediate adult class.

Children’s Division Pre- Ballet

Ages 4-7 Years

This class introduces children to their first years of ballet training. Children work on coordination, rhythm, and body awareness. Pre-Ballet students are also introduced to basic ballet terminology. Movements and positions related to ballet are explored in a fun, nourishing environment.

Placement in Pre-Ballet is based on the age of the student.

Children’s Division- Beginning Level I

Ages 8-Plus Years

Children in the beginning level are introduced to the fundamentals of ballet training. Students are also taught the importance of proper technique, body placement, and discipline in the ballet class. Children at this level will also work on developing their strength and posture.

Children’s Division- Beginning-Intermediate Level II

Ages 9-Plus Years

Students continue to learn ballet techniques. The class structure will include a full barre warm up, advanced center combinations, big jumps and turns. Pointe may be introduced if the student demonstrates the necessary strength. At this level, students may elect to take Russian Character.

Children’s Division- Intermediate Level III

Ages 11-Plus Years

Students continue to learn ballet techniques and Russian Character. In this level, students work on perfecting their ballet technique and increasing their strength in pointe work. This level also focuses on building students’ musicality and performance skills.

Pre-Professional-Advanced Level IV and V

Ages 12+

This program is especially designed by Mr. Sultanov for the serious dance student interested in a career in ballet. Classes include Ballet, Pointe, Partnering, Variations, Character, Conditioning, and Stage makeup. Students are challenged technically as this level prepares them for performance at the professional level. Students enrolled in the Pre-professional program will have stage experience through RBA’s annual school performance. Our school performances will include famous classical ballets and new contemporary works created especially for our students by guest choreographers. Graduating students of Russian Ballet Academy will be guided through the process of obtaining jobs in ballet/dance companies.

Dance Attire

Children’s Division Pre-Ballet, Ballet I, Ballet II, and Ballet III

Boys: white t-shirt, black tights, black ballet shoes with white socks.
Girls: simple, short sleeve white leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes

Pre-Professional Division

Boys: white t-shirt, black tights, white socks, black ballet shoes
Girls: black leotards, pink tights, pink ballet shoes.

*Styles not specific on black leotards for girls.

Hair must be neat and pulled back into a bun or french twist. No excessive jewelry worn during class, please.

Open Division/Teens and Adults

Comfortable and appropriate dance attire in any color or style of students’ choice. Ballet shoes must be worn for ballet class and hair pulled back and neat.


For all new pre-registered students of RBA, the first month’s tuition is due on the first day of class. Tuition payment for subsequent months are due on or before the first day of the month. We are currently accepting payment by check or cash only.
